Hope that somewhere an episode or two of "Marshal of Gunsight Pass" survive. Was supposedly one of the most chintzy shows ever produced, kinda like the Captain Video of Western shows.

Episodes do survive, as ABC seems to have kept some of them. Since ABC donated a large amount (all?) of the kinescopes they had to a film and television archive in the 70s or 80s (I forgot which decade), I can compile this list of surviving episodes from the website of that archive:
Ghost of Gunsight Pass (1950-09-09)
Ghost of Indian Creek (1950-06-18)
Placer gold (1950-04-28)
Arrow (1950-03-23)
Border bandit (1950-07-15)
Brass rainbow (1950-02-23)
Canyon kid (1950-06-10)
Frame-up (1950-05-05)
Marked tree plot (1950-07-27)
Silver ingots (1950-07-27)
Smoke signal (1950-07-23)
The Smugglers (1950-03-09)
The tenderfoot (1950-09-02)
Texas stranger (1950-08-19)
Tin horn Swindle (1950-08-05)
Triple Creek robbery (1950-05-29)

Note 1: I cannot understand the year-month-day date system
Note 2: I forgot to copy the "the" on many of the episode titles
Note 3: Some of the episodes (maybe all?) have the commercials for Kern Food Products intact.

I can only hope one of the PD-TV-On-DVD companies puts a few episodes on DVD.

Yes....as long as it exists, at least there's a chance someone might put it on DVD. Unlike with, say, "The Hazel Scott Show" which is completely lost and as such we will never be able to view it.
